Interested in all types of IT technologies. His adventure with computers started at the age of 5, but the true passion came four years later. His interests involve computer graphics, mostly vector raster graphics. He started his career from creating small graphics, designing ad posters and layouts for websites – where he got interested with web mastering, programming and everything around it. As today movies have more special effects than storyline, he finds himself in anime, and manga. During the office hours he is mostly occupied with running worldwide web sites about computer games. His after work hobbies are connected with melee weapons (mostly Asian) and sports connected with it.

Since 2006 he is a system admin during office hours, but his passion started back in 90’s. It all started when he was a few years old and he got his first Atari 65XE, and then evolved to PC times. Today he is mostly occupied with Microsoft systems, and technologies – Active Directory and a bit of virtualization. In 2005 he was awarded with a MCP title, and from that point on, he started collecting other titles. Graduated from ATH in Bielsko-Biała where he became a database expert. In his free time he likes to write in PHP, and C#. Simply speaking – IT is his life. For fun he enjoys everything what is connected with fantasy, from books, through movies, and ending on games.

At the age of 7 he got his first Commodore64, he read all the books about this simple 8-bit computer. In the summer time, when everybody got tired of him, he pitched a tent in his back yard, and slept there with all his cassettes with software… He wrote his first game only a year later. But the real explosion came with PC bought by his brother. When he but his first accelerator on Pentium, things got really serious. He is a graduate of Technical University of Gliwice. Professionally he is in charge of network, and server administration, basing on technologies VMware vSphere/Linux/Windows/Netware. Co-founder and coordinator of a few projects funded from EU. He is able to write without looking at keyboard with a speed of 250 signs per minute. His hobbies involve photography, sailing, paragliding. He got to the top of every mountain in High Tatra Mountains, including the Gerlach. He tried almost every extreme sport: diving, mountain climbing, cave exploration, rafting, survival, and hiking;) In his moments of insanity, he descended from the skyscrapers, and chimneys, and when he was 18 he rode through Poland on a bike (around 800 km). He runs a technical blog on: http://juriewicz.info.

His adventure with computers started Amstrad 464, which was a Christmas present. Later he got a Commodore64, and Amiga 1200, which he exchanged for 386DX40. Then it all really begun, someone told him about Linux, back than in version 2.0 – he is still fascinated about this system. Unfortunately a corporation form Redmond got almost everybody including him. He got interested in NT systems, and later on in Windows Server. Professionally he is a system admin for over 10 years, mostly concerned with virtualization by Citrix, and collaboration software by IBM.
